Notes

2023-04-19 13:17:13 - Nathan Alan Eng <neng32>

I've looked over syllabi for ENG 1102 and I believe these courses are essentially equivalent. ENG 1102 is pretty subjective here as professors teach the course depending on their background. The 3 courses I have submitted have a broad topic list and I am more than happy to submit more writing supplements that are clearly equivalent in work as ENG 1102. I already have credit for ENG 1101 through IB, hence why I am trying to get credit for ENG 1102. Taking ENG 1102 will delay my graduation and it is clear that I have done similar work at my old university already.

Dept only approved this combination of courses for ENGL 1101. You already received credit for that course for your IB scores.

No supplemental materials/ sample written assignments etc have been provided for evaluation for this course. The three quarter courses: WR 321, ENG 260M & J 201 together would count for one ENGL 1101 course at GT.

BSCS MAJOR. Student seeking ENGL 1102 consideration for 3 qtr courses: J 201 + WR 321 + ENG 260M. If combined would convert to 8 semester hours credit. Please see Notes on J 201 where student uploaded writing samples for review.

If you are seeking credit for ENGL 1102,the Department generally looks for 20 plus pages of formal graded writing and a major research project to approve ENGL 1102 credit. Please upload a writing sample for consideration. Remember to select "Send Back to Registrar" to return the evaluation.

Hoping I can get credit for ENG 1102 by combining this class with WR 321 and J 201 since they all contain elements and topics covered by some iterations of ENG 1102 taught at GT.
