Hello I am seeking credit for 1102 through this class (the second first year writing class). I have received a 5 on ap english lit, taken the first year writing course at UMD, and taken this fictional writing course which I hope is enough to show my proficiency in writing. In regards to the AP credit, my transcript on the UMD portal shows me each AP, its score, and the class is corresponds to. Does this not show on your transcript? If not, I can send the scores through collegeboard again. Thanks, Suryaa

Hello Suryaa, Are you seeking ENGL 1101 or 1102 credit for this course? If so, please submit a writing assignment completed in this course that is 15-30 pages long. You may submit multiple assignments completed in the class as a writing portfolio. Also, note UMD does not list AP credit by course on their transcript. If you plan to transfer AP credit from the UMD transcript to GT, you must contact the UMD registrar and request a letter that lists the individual course credit granted AP credit. Have the letter sent directly to Admissions. Thanks!
