Please see note from student "...Earlier today I got the result for registrar evaluation #63153 which was transferring a course from Ohio State University, STAT 3470, to ISYE 3030. I'm curious why this cannot count as ISYE 3770. I had looked at the two syllabi and found that they are very equal in content. Very simply, I don't see how these two aren't the same course (on the left is STAT 3470): https://stat.osu.edu/sites/default/files/2022-02/sp22-stat-3470.01-swartzentruber.pdf https://www.isye.gatech.edu/sites/default/files/courses/isye3770_2.pdf On the other hand, this is what my transferred course has been reduced to: https://www.isye.gatech.edu/sites/default/files/courses/isye3030_2.pdf Just by naked eye, anyone will see that the course I had done previously had more content than both ISYE 3030 AND ISYE 3770. I want to understand the registrar's thinking when evaluating this course. I would appreciate if there were a transparent process with detailed reasoning on the evaluation portal. What has my course not covered? My second question is - can ISYE 3030 count for the Probability and Statistics requirement in BSCS? Taking a quick look at the course description of each one of these courses, STAT 3470 encompasses all the topics that are needed by this requirement.
