The two courses, in combination tudent received BIOS 1107/L for their HBIO 111 credit.With the previous credit, the HBIO 114 could transfer as BIOS 1108 and BIOS 1108 L. Together the 2X4 hours credits should be our 8 h. Not policy.

Lab (HBIO 114L) included with HBIO 114 so we have the final transcript. Student received BIOS 1107/L for their HBIO 111 credit. Can you please clarify if we can award BIOS 1108/L or BIOS 1XXX?

Good Afternoon, I am inquiring about thte status of HBIO 114 Course, The admission office now has my up to date transcript that resolved the "In Progress" Issue. More so, will the evaluation now be able to progress or is there more needed from me? Thank You!

Good Morning, the final transcript you have currently is as final as it gets. The "Grades due date" for the Fall 2023 semester was December 12, 2023, and the last day of classes was November 29th , 2023. However, the "Grades due dates "for the Spring 2024 semester were May 14th 2024, and the Last day of Classes was May 1st 2024. Unfortunately, how Morehouse counts Lab is by accrediting it to the lecture course name and striving the lab course of its credit on the transcript. Nevertheless, just as the transcript states the Lecture course concluded but also so did the Lab courses. During HBio 111( Cell and Molecular Biology) the lab counted for 40% of the Course grade, and the Lecture was 60%. On the contrary for HBIO 114 (Pop, Communities, and Biosphere) the Lab counted for 60% and the Lecture was 40% of the course grade. So the Lab definitely has weight on my GPA, it just does not document it as such. The transcript we received does not report completion of the Lab HBIO 114L. It shows as "In Progress". You will need to get a complete official transcript sent to Admissions before credit can be awarded.

This course is a Biology majors level, intro course with the lab. It is a better fit for BIOS 1107, but not perfectly . Possibly BIOS 1108, depending on the students previous course.
