Dear Evaluation Committee, I am requesting a transfer credit for UF's CIS5370, which I believe is similar to GT's CS6264 (Information Security Lab—System and Network Defenses). The course syllabus does not explain all the topics well, so to elaborate more I included a document detailing material we have learned from class and the textbook. In this course, we also performed kernel and other common attacks on VMs, analyzed research papers, engaged in theoretical written only exams, and created a detailed security attack and defense report for the final project of penetration testing an authorized website. I was able to successfully apply the knowledge I learned in this class to later provide red team services in the tech industry.
