I am submitting PSY H201: Life Span Development (taken at Naugatuck Valley Community College) for review and consideration as equivalent to Georgia Tech’s PSYC 2103 – Human Development. This course provided a comprehensive overview of psychological development across the human lifespan, closely mirroring the learning outcomes of PSYC 2103. The syllabus included major theoretical frameworks such as those of Erikson, Piaget, Vygotsky, and Kohlberg — all core components of Georgia Tech’s curriculum. It also emphasized development in physical, cognitive, emotional, and social domains from infancy through late adulthood. Assignments included a Piaget experiment project, a research paper utilizing peer-reviewed sources, and consistent analytical discussion posts — all of which demonstrate the academic rigor and alignment with GT’s emphasis on evidence-based psychological study. Key topics such as parenting styles, attachment theory, memory, identity development, and moral reasoning were deeply explored. I earned an A in this course, reflecting both my mastery of the material and my strong engagement with its content. Given the close match in scope, depth, and structure, I respectfully request that this course be considered equivalent to PSYC 2103 at Georgia Tech. Thank you for your time and consideration.
