I am requesting that ENGL 1030 at Clemson University be approved as satisfying the ENGL 1101 requirement. ENGL 1030 was transferred as ENGL 1102 due to its advanced writing rigor, but it also fully covers the foundational first-year composition outcomes of ENGL 1101, including thesis-driven academic writing, rhetorical analysis, and documented argument. I am requesting a sequence substitution so that I am not required to repeat equivalent first-year composition coursework.
