Course evaluated with ECE 210 for CS credit

2026-01-12 19:09:55 - Venkat Sai Ram Mohan Tumu <vtumu3>

I wanted to provide additional context regarding the computer organization(CS 2110) course evaluation. I have now been able to obtain and attach the syllabus for the computer organization course, and after carefully reviewing it, I truly believe that the content aligns closely with coursework I have already completed at the University of Louisville. After reviewing the material in detail, it appears that the hardware- and logic-focused components closely match ECE 210 – Logic Design, which I have completed, while the introductory programming aspects are covered through CSE 130 – Intro to Programming. I wanted to kindly ask that this prior coursework be considered together, as I strongly believe it reflects substantial overlap with the course under review. I sincerely want to express that my goal is not to avoid academic rigor or repeat material unnecessarily, but rather to ensure that the work I have already completed is fully recognized. At this point, this single course evaluation is one of the main reasons my graduation timeline may be delayed by nearly a full semester. If this equivalency were approved, I would be able to move forward directly into CS 2200, which would allow me to stay on track academically and continue progressing in my degree. I am very sorry for submitting this request later than ideal. I was only recently able to access the syllabus and fully understand the course content, and I have also been catching up on several academic and administrative matters during this time. I completely understand the demands of the review process and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. I humbly ask for your consideration and support in this matter. This course is very important to my academic progress, and any assistance or guidance you are able to provide would mean a great deal to me. Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and care. I would also like to note that ECE 210 was completed alongside the accompanying laboratory course, ECE 211 – Logic Design Laboratory. The laboratory component is included within the attached ECE 210 syllabus and reflects hands-on work that reinforced and applied the lecture concepts. It can be viewed as Labs in the course content schedule
