Thank you for the response. My reason for taking this course was to get credit for ENGL 1102. At my previous institution TCNJ, I placed out of the first of two required writing courses and therefore was lacking an english writing course for admission consideration. I asked Georgia Tech admissions on what to do, and the response was to take a course that had an intensive writing component. I ultimately chose COM172 since it was labeled "writing intensive" on the website.
