Our previous comment stands: "MATH 345 is a course completely different from MATH 231, 232 and 307. It cannot be combined with any combination of those three courses in transferring credit. "

The student requests a reevaluation or meeting to provide additional explanation/information.

I understand that MATH 345M is a different course than the others I mentioned, however there is significant material overlap.

The student states: Firstly, I noticed that my statistics course (MATH 345M) has the same topics as MATH 3670. Additionally, some of these topics were covered in my discrete math courses and proofs course. I also saw that I was given credit for MATH 2603 + MATH 2XXX for the 2 discrete math courses, and I was hoping I could get credit for CS 2050 instead (also discrete math, but for CS). I looked closely at the syllabus for CS 2050 and it contains the exact same topics as MATH 2603 and the contents covered in the syllabus of my proofs class (MATH 307).

I wanted to add that since 4 quarter hours = 2 semester hours, instead of giving me 2603 credit + 2XXX credit for MATH 231 and MATH 232, just give me 2603 credit and then use the extra hours towards MATH 3670. This seems reasonable since the course material aligns.

I was hoping I could get equivalent credit for MATH 3670, as the syllabus from this course indicates the same topics are covered: https://math.gatech.edu/courses/math/3670
