Notes

2023-01-04 12:37:37 - Pauline Marilyn Glenn <pglenn8>

Note for Registrar: Must combine ECS 036C (2) + 1 credit from ECS 050 to equal 3 credits needed for CS 1332. Needs the excess CS elective credit to reach the 3 credits needed for CS 1332.

2023-01-02 08:10:01 - Carolyn Lerner <clerner3>

Please see student's add'l documentation. Would this help in assigning credit?

2022-12-26 19:31:44 - Nikita Gulati <ngulati8>

In ECS 36C Data Structures and Algorithms we have covered Kruskal’s, Dijkstra etc greedy algorithms. We have done dynamic programming in Graph storage and traversal using quick find and quick union (lazy approach), weighted quick-union etc. I have attached some relevant snapshots of my class slides. Please reconsider giving credit for CS 1332 and let me know if anything else is needed. I have completed 5 CSE courses at UC Davis which are equivalent to 20 quarter credits. Against these I should be at least securing 13 to 14 semester credits, whereas I am not getting any based on current inputs.

Note for Student: This would not be considered CS 1332 credit since there does not seem to be coverage of dynamic programming, greedy algorithms, or pattern matching here. Also, this class only transfers over as 2 credit hours and you would need three credits for CS 1332. This class could only count as CS 1301 or CS 1331 if combined with another CS course to equate to 3 credits or more, but as is, ECS 036C, does not equate to CS 1332.

4 quarter hours = 2 semester

2022-11-15 02:53:38 - Nikita Gulati <ngulati8>

This course should be equivalent to CS 1332 - Data Structures and Algorithms at Georgia Tech
