There was a re-eval and AERE 161 + AERE 160 = CS 1371 (3) + CS 1xxx (3). Student can get CS 1371 credit because AERE 161+AERE 160= CS 1371. Must have both classes for CS 1371.

At Iowa State, AERE 161 provides instruction in MATLAB for aerospace students. In AERE 160 (I have added the syllabus), five hours of Python instruction is delivered. Besides AERE 160/161, I have not taken other coding classes. I was awarded credit for COE 1361 but would like to be evaluated for CS 1371—a credit that applies to the BSAE degree.

I would like AERE 161 at Iowa State University to be reviewed as a potential credit for CS 1371 at Georgia Tech. In AERE 161, the fundamentals of MATLAB programming (numerical methods, data analysis, plotting, etc.) are discussed in detail—similar to the topics listed in a publically available syllabus for CS 1371. The MATLAB topics covered in AERE 161 are available in the attached syllabus.
