I agree with the existing CHEM 1XXX equivalency. The lecture and laboratory include no content on molecular orbitals or intermolecular forces. Familiarity with the former topic in particular is important for success in CHEM 1212K. I also don't see calorimetry in the list of lab experiments, an important foundational technique. This course doesn't warrant credit for CHEM 1211K because it doesn't prepare the student adequately for CHEM 1212K and it doesn't warrant credit for CHEM 1310 because it includes no coverage of chemical kinetics or equilibrium.

This lab transfers to Georgia Tech as CHEM 1211K and covers topics nearly identical to CHEM 111 at Guilford College upon comparison of the two syllabi.

This course transfers to many colleges and universities in North Carolina, including fellow technical universities North Carolina State University and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, as introductory Chemistry I courses with transfer equivalency to CHEM 1211K at Georgia Tech. With this in mind, this course should similarly be equal to CHEM 1211K or CHEM 1310.
