I would suggest MGT 2XXX or 3XXX credit, and then providing overrides (if needed for this CS student) for other Marketing coursework. In general, we do not award 1.5 hour courses the Course subject and number for a 3 hour course. It could also be applied on Degree Works as an exception for cases where MGT 3300 is required if the advisor or yourself approves. Is this sufficient?

As an introduction to marketing, the UC-Boulder course overlaps heavily with our core course MGT 3300 Marketing Management. However, the UC course is only 1.5 hours (rather than 3 hours like MGT 3300) and it does not have the same breadth or depth of MGT 3300. Thus I am not comfortable offering three hours of equivalency to MGT 3300. However, I am comfortable offering 1.5 hours equivalency, and I am also comfortable allowing this course to fulfill the 3300 prerequisite for our marketing electives. Please advise on how to proceed...
