This school is on a Quarter System. 5 qtr credits transfers as 3 semester hours at GT. Cannot Award CHEM 1310 (4) hours for this course. Evaluation will need to be changed to CHEM 1XXX (3) hours.

In my high school, I did AP Chemistry. My previous institute made me follow up with this course which is an Advanced Chemistry course. I have covered topics from CHEM 1212K, 1310,1311, and 1312 by doing my Chemistry AP exam and the Chemistry course I had taken in my previous institution.

Looking at Degree Works, it seems that the student only needs one 4-credit lab science course, so CHEM 1310 should fit just fine. :-)

This course most closely aligns with CHEM 1310. I'm not comfortable with equivalence with CHEM 1212K as acid-base equilibria, buffers, titrations, and electrochemistry are not covered. If the advanced standing exam the student took assesses these topics then I'm willing to consider credit for CHEM 1212K as well, but based on the materials provided I have entered equivalence of this course with CHEM 1310.

This course is 5quarter hours which is 3 semester. The student does have 3 quarter hours from a Chemistry exam that could be combined if the student meets the CHEM 1211 or 1310 courses

An accelerated course covering topics in CHEM 111 and CHEM 113 (for which credit is awarded), in lecture and in lab work. The lab work is included in the 5 quarter credit hours of the course. Upon successful completion of this course, an additional 3 credits will be awarded. Enrollment is limited to those students who complete the Rose-Hulman online Chemistry Advanced Placement Examination given prior to the freshman orientation period.
