In CSE 3666 (Introduction to Computer Architecture at UConn), we focused on core systems topics such as memory organization, machine instructions, the Von Neumann model, and assembly programming in RISC-V. While the course emphasized low-level architecture and RISC-V, we were also introduced to the basics of C programming through a few lectures that covered fundamental syntax, data types, and control flow structures. Additionally, Labs 3 and 4 included C-based logic for string manipulation and binary search, which we analyzed and translated into RISC-V assembly. These exercises helped reinforce how high-level logic maps to low-level instructions and deepened our understanding of systems interactions. I’ve attached the lab descriptions and my RISC-V implementations to document this work. While C wasn’t the primary focus, it was included as part of the curriculum to bridge software and hardware concepts. I hope this provides helpful context — thank you for your time and consideration.
