CIS 150 – Computer Science I was an introductory programming course focused on the C and C++ programming languages. The course was structured with both lecture sessions and separate, scheduled lab sessions that took place at different times. These lab sessions were required and involved hands-on programming exercises, coding practice, and instructor-guided problem solving. Despite having distinct meeting times, the lab was not registered as a separate course and did not carry any independent credit hours. All lab work—including in-lab assignments, participation, and coding assessments—was graded and included in the final overall grade for the CIS 150 course. There is no separate grade or transcript entry for the lab component. When completing the transfer evaluation, I initially tried to enter “0 credit hours” for the lab to accurately reflect that it did not carry separate credit. However, the evaluation portal would not accept a 0-credit entry. As a workaround, I entered “0.25 credit hours” to proceed with the submission. I would like to emphasize that the lab component was required and had its own schedule, but was not assigned separate credit and is fully incorporated into the CIS 150 course grade.
