This course would be a good transfer for ME 1670. However that course is 3 credit hours and a 2.25 credit hour course is not allowed to transfer in for a 3-credit hour course.

Possible ME credit or stay with ET NOGT?

2025-07-17 15:51:36 - Pauline Marilyn Glenn <pglenn8>

Note for Registrar: No CS credit but possibly send to ME for review.

ENGR 126 – Engineering Computer Graphics was a structured course that included both lecture-based instruction and separate, scheduled lab sessions. The course focused on solid modeling, orthographic projection, and computer-aided design (CAD) using CATIA V5 software. Students were introduced to 3D modeling and 3D printing techniques, and the course emphasized industry-standard engineering graphics practices. The lab sessions, which had their own meeting times apart from lectures, were required and played a major role in applying the concepts taught during lectures. Lab work included weekly assignments in CATIA, complex part design, and a final 3D printing project. Despite the separate lab schedule and dedicated deliverables, the lab was not offered as a separate course and did not carry individual credit hours. All lab-related work—contributing significantly to the course grade-was fully integrated into the overall ENGR 126 grade. There is no separate grade or transcript entry for the lab component. When submitting this course for evaluation, I initially attempted to input “0 credit hours” for the lab to reflect that it did not receive separate credit. However, the course evaluation portal did not allow submission with 0 credits, so I have entered “0.25 credit hours” as a placeholder. I want to clarify that the lab was required and substantial in workload, but it was not assigned any independent academic credit and is entirely included in the final ENGR 126 course grade.
