Prof. Faulkner, who teaches CS 1332 at Georgia Tech, told me that he sent the evaluation for my CS 1332 to dc@registrar.gatech.edu on September 26. I have requested the transfer credit for this course multiple times, but all of my requests have been denied, so I am currently enrolled in this course. However, after attending the class for four weeks, I have found that the concepts covered are identical to what I previously learned. Therefore, I visited the office of my current instructor, Professor Frederic Faulkner, and showed him the syllabus and my notes from the course I completed at my previous institution. He evaluated that the CSC 280 course I took there is equivalent to Georgia Tech’s CS 1332. Both courses use the same programming language and cover the same content. In addition, the professor who taught the course at my previous institution had joined only a few years earlier, which I believe led to changes in the course content compared to the past. Therefore, I think the transfer equivalency table has not yet been updated to reflect these changes. I have also received confirmation from Professor Frederic Faulkner, who currently teaches CS 1332 at Georgia Tech, that both courses are equivalent. Therefore, I respectfully request once again that my transfer credit be reconsidered.
